Annoyance of the Day ~ What a Hipster !

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, if a certain person were to use the word "Hip" as in "People think I'm a hip person" "I have this hip new bag" or "the office I just moved into is sooo hip" doesn't that make them look like a complete jackass?

I kind of thought if you ever use that word to describe yourself... you are anything but hip. It really just makes me want to smack this chick everytime I hear it come out of her wannabe mouth. Oh, and does it make it worse that she is over 40 and still trying to hang with the kids in g-town. Wow, that's sooo HIP!

ahhh....venting....good

Steak n Egg No More

Troubled Resturant to Close it's Doors after PDS employee was killed on Friday morning. I guess now you can hit the other shady location on Wisc. Ave. to get your grease on.

Next Best Thing

My favorite summer activity has always been my trips to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. I even was able to make a day trip out there a couple of weeks ago - DCA at 9am to O'Hare, see the game, drinks in Wrigleyville & Gold Coast, returned 12 hours later on a Wednesday (I love playing hookie from work with a good reason). But, second to going is having my beloved Cubbies come to me!

Last night at RFK was a blast. I was transported back to being 12 years old and giddy like I was seeing them for the first time. I've been a Cubs fan since I was born and the response I always get is, "ahh, isn't that cute?". We aren't contenders, we don't threaten anyone. Being a Cubs fan is like being from Sweden.
Although, being a Cubs fan is also loving the underdog, being loyal to your boys. I have to say, I was a bit torn last night. I felt bad for the Nats. As a partial season ticket holder, I also have some allegiance to those guys (even if they do have a "W" on their hats - why can't they say, D.C.? anyway..) As a lover of the losers, I really didn't want to see the Cubs beat them up too bad. Yes, they really need to win this series and the Brewers need to suck ass against the Pirates right now, but, for the Nats sake I hope they keep the games a little closer.

Oh and by the way, what the hell happened to those buses that used to take you from RFK to Union Station??? I have blisters all over my feet from thinking it was ok to just walk the 25 + blocks home last night.

Zambrano is pitching tonight, I think I love him - I can't wait !
