Have you ever worked with someone who has zero respect for you? I have been working on a project with this guy for over two years and he has made it abundantly clear he believes I have nothing productive to contribute.

Last night, in response to an emailed suggestion I had for the team, he replied with a vocabulary lesson for me - apparently, I had a typo he decided to pick apart even though it was known what I was trying to say. A 1am email is not a good time to be sending out lectures. A simple, thanks for the reminder, would have sufficed.

Today, I made it through about 2 hours of a meeting before I got up, told him to kiss my ass, and walked out the door. Not the most professional move.

I have about 3 more weeks with this condescending jackass. How am I going to make it without wanting to bang his head into the table every time he speaks?

Sat it Ain't So, Joe

Last night the Capitol Lounge went up in smoke again! This place has been a standard for me since I moved to DC way back when the Dems ruled. The place changed with the administration and certainly changed after the last fire. You could just tell something was different. Now what? I am not sure how bad things were - just enough that it spread to four other buildings. With this a Eastern Market in smoke, my old hood is loosing it's anchors.
